The Chinese University of Hong Kong devised strategies actively to promote the consumption of fair trade products at the university. On one hand, in the website of the Business Office, the section “University Suppliers’ Directory” is attached with the URL of The Hong Kong Council of Social Service. It provides staff with convenience access to information related to Fair Trade products and services.

On the other, some of the exclusive items available at the Souvenir Counter were designed by local Social Enterprises. Next to the Souvenir Counter is the first vending machine at the university that sells Fair Trade products. Moreover, two of the canteens at the university, Li Wai Chun Building Coffee Shop, and Coffee Corner in Benjamin Franklin Centre Student Canteen contain biscuits and teabags that are produced by Fair Trade companies.
